Report BIG MOUNTAIN Thibaud Duchosal (FR) è il vincitore del primo contest Mystic Xperience, davanti a Armin Senoner(ITA) e Robin Kaleta (Rep Ceca) giunti rispettivamente secondo e terzo.

Il folto ed eterogeneo gruppo d’atleti internazionali si è dovuto svegliare all’alba per trasferirsi a Rima, location scelta dall’organizzazione come base per i trasferimenti in elicottero fino alle vetta. La nebbia copriva le montagne e rendeva il paesaggio grigio. La preoccupazione di non poter volare era negli occhi di tutti. E’ bastato attendere qualche ora e che l’aria si scaldasse per trovarsi invece di fronte ad un’altra meravigliosa giornata di sole. Tutti gli atleti si sono velocemente concentrati sul loro unico obiettivo, vincere la gara di Winter Mystic Xperience organizzata ad Alagna Valsesia. Anche i rider più esperti non nascondevano la tensione ed emozione di mettersi alla prova lungo un tracciato pressoché sconosciuto ai più. Melanie Martinot (FRA,) unica rappresentante femminile, ha avuto l’onore di aprire la gara. Il versante scelto da MYSTICFREERIDE ha offerto un ampia varietà di linea, ogni rider ha potuto esprimere al meglio le proprie caratteristiche, dallo stile tecnico nella più ripida, ai più estremi amanti dei “big cliff”nella sezione rocciosa. I migliori hanno subito colpito l’attenzione dei giudici, con discese aggressive ma fluide ed in controllo. Thibaud Duchsal, Team Columbia International, non ha lasciato dubbi sulla sua supremazia nonostante non abbia forzato con salti acrobatici, contrariamente ad altri rider, come Cristiano Garufi, conclusi in una rovinosa caduta. Armin Senoner ha lasciato senza fiato con un Backflip in ingresso, seguito dalla scelta di scendere canali molto ripidi e stretti, gestiti con molta velocità ma sempre in perfetto controllo. Per lui un meritatissimo secondo posto, davanti a Robin Kaleta (Rep.Ceca) che ha scelto la linea con i più ampi passaggi aerei gestiti con fluidità ma con una caduta sul finale che ha compromesso la sua prova straordinaria. Duro il compito della giura di stilare una corretta classifica degli altri 16 atleti, tutti di altissimo profilo. Domani sarà il turno delle discipline del Big Air Sci e Slopestyle Bike, che si svolgeranno a Pianalunga, all’arrivo della cabinovia di Alagna Valsesia.

The big and heterogeneous group of international athletes woke up at the dawn to move to Rim, the location chosen by the organization as base for helicopter transfers as far as the top of the mountain. The fog covered the mountains, so there was a grey landscape and everybody were worried: the competition might be deleted. But just a couple of hours later the air got warm and it became a clear and sunny day. All the athletes immediately concentrated on their only aim: win the Winter MysticXperince competition, arranged at Alagna Valsesia. Also the best riders were very excited and strained because the course was almost unknown. Melanie Martinot (FR), the only female competitor, had the honour of opening the race. The face of the mountain chosen by MYSTICFREERIDE offered a wide range of line, each rider could express his skills at his best, from the technical style in the most steep, at the most extreme lovers of the “big cliff” in the rocky section. The best athletes immediately caught the judge’s attention with their aggressive but fluid and controlled descents. Thibaud Duchosal, team Columbia International, left no doubts about his supremacy although he didn’t do any acrobatic jumps as others athletes like Cristiano Garufi, who concluded his jump in a disastrous fall. Armin Senoner left everybody without breath with a Backflip during his entry, when he decided to go down through very difficultt and narrow canals, he managed it with high speed but being always in control. To him a worth second place, before Robin Kaleta (Rep.Ceca) who chosen the line with the most wide aerial crossing, he managed it easily but with a final fall. The judge’s job was very hard: to give a correct position for the other 16 athletes all of high profile.

Report BIG AIR FREESTYLE E SLOPESTYLE BIKE Thomas Thèberge (FR) è il vincitore del secondo contest MysticXperience, davanti a Lao Chazelas(FR) e Tobias Vinatzer (ITA) giunti rispettivamente secondo e terzo.

Per lo Slopestyle bike Nicola Pescetto si è aggiudicato il primo premio, seguito da Alessandro Picco. Terzo posto per Diego Donadonibus. È bastato salire con la cabinovia di Alagna e superare le vaste nuvole che coprivano il paese per entrare nel vivo della seconda parte del MYSTICXPERIENCE. Due percorsi, il primo dedicato al FREESTYLE SKY e il secondo allo SLOPESTYLE BIKE, sono stati creati per l’occasione dallo staff di MYSTICFREERIDE e BIGTIME. Per la prima prova di BIG AIR FREESKY il kicker alto oltre tre metri e mezzo lanciava gli atleti ad oltre quindici metri sopra la testa degli attoniti spettatori, la sfida tra atleti francesi e italiani non si è fatta attendere, con apparente facilità sono state chiuse rotazioni 1080 MUTE GRAB e CORK 720, non sono mancate neanche le cadute, fortunatamente tutte senza gravi conseguenze. Già durante le tre Run di qualifica i francesi hanno dimostrato grande tecnica e stile. Solo dopo le run di finale la giuria ha espresso il proprio verdetto incoronando Thèberge (FR) vincitore della seconda edizione MYSTICXPERIENCE BIG AIR seguito da Chazelas (FR), secondo e Vinatzer (ITA), terzo, unico italiano sul podio e atleta ufficiale Movement ski. Una curisosità: Thomas festeggiava il compleanno proprio domenica 17 febbraio; non Poteva scegliere modo migliore per farlo… A pochi metri si è svolta anche la prova dello SLOPESTYLE BIKE che ha visto riuniti i migliori rider italiani sulla neve di Pianalunga, uno spettacolo inconsueto per i numerosi spettatori e per gli abituali frequentatori della stazione sciistica che si sono fermati ad ammirare le numerose evoluzioni. Il percorso consisteva in un ingresso in curva con Drop-in di circa due metri, seguito da un Dirt e da uno Step up, completamente in neve, alto oltre tre metri. Nicolò Premoli, detto bau bau apre le danze con il suo solito stile “catastrofico”, dopo di lui si danno battaglia i migliori: Jack Bisi, Nik Pescetto e Alessandro “MC” Picco. Jack, tra i favoriti è stato costretto a fermarsi per un guasto meccanico, senza di lui la battaglia è proseguita a colpi di “back flip”. La giuria ha avuto non poche difficoltà a dare il primo premio a Nick Pescetto in conseguenza alle ottime performance di MC, al terzo posto un inaspettato quanto apprezzato Diego Donadonibus che chiude due Back flip consecutivi sul Dirt e sullo Step up. L’evento si è concluso con uno spettacolare e straordinario lancio di Robin Kaletta (Rep. Ceca) in Base Jumping dalla funivia di Alagna che ha lasciato senza fiato l’intera stazione sciistica e ha concluso in modo davvero indimenticabile la kermesse di sport multidisciplinare Mysticxperience. È stata una giornata piena di emozioni per gli spettatori e di adrenalina per gli atleti di entrambi le discipline.

Report BIG AIR FREESTYLE AND SLOPESTYLE BIKE Thomas Thèberge (FR) the winner of the second contest MysticXperience, before Lao Chazelas(FR) and Tobias Vinatzer (ITA) who are arrived second and third.

In the Slopestyle bike, Nicola Pescetto was winner followed by Alessandro Picco. Third position for Diego Donadonibus It was sufficient to climb with the cabin lift of Alagna to overcome the cloud that covered the country and consequently to be at the heart of the second part of MYSTICXPERIENCE Two lines, one dedicated at the FREESTYLE SKY and the other one at the SLOPESTYLE BIKE, were created for this event by MYSTICFREERIDE and BIGTIME team. For the first demostration of BIG AIR FREESKY the kicker over three and half meters high throwing the athletes to over fifteen metres above the overwhelmeds spectators, the competition between the italian and french athletes started immetiately, with seemingly ease rotations 1080 MUTE GRAB and CORK 720. Obviously there were some falls none of witch was serious. Already during the three run of qualification French guys push with greatness in style and tecnique and only after the three finals run the judges were able to express their verdict, nominating Thèberge (FR) winner of the second edition of MYSTICXPERIENCE BIG AIR followed by Chazelas (FR) and Vinatzer (ITA) who are arrived correspondently second and third. Sunday was Thomas birthday; No better way to celebrate it!!! A few meters from there the SLOPESTYLE BIKE competition was taken place, witnessing the meeting of the rider on the snow of Pianalunga, an unusual performance for the crowds of onlookers and skiers, who stopped to see and admire the various evolutions. The run was composed by an entrance on the curve with a Drop-in almost two meters high followed by a Dirt and a Step up three meters high, completely realise with snow. Nicolò “bau bau” Premoli was the first rider with his famous “catastrophic” style, followed by the other rider: Jack Bisi, Nik Pescetto and Alessandro “MC” Picco and many other. Jack, among the favourited, was forced to stop for a technical failure, without him the battle continued with Backflip. The judges had lots of difficuties to give the first position to Nick Pescetto because of the spectacular MC’s performance. the third place was inexpectedly and gratefully occupied by Diego Donadonibus who concluded two consecutive Backflip on Dirt and Step up. Another important moment of this kermesse was the extraordinary throw of Robin Kaletta (Cetzch Rep.) in Base jumping from the cabinlift of Alagna. It was a full of surprises day for the audience and full of adrenaline for the athletes of both sports.
